X-Steel BioClean pipes and fittings are produced with high-purity austenitic stainless steel ASTM A270 S2 UNS S31603 (316L). Our products follow a strict quality process, meeting all the requirements of the latest ASME BPE standards, respecting all dimensional specifications in Table DT-4-1 and surface finish in Table SF-2.4-1.
In its chemical composition, UNS S31603 (316L) stainless steel grade “S2” contains sulfur (S) between 0.005% to 0.017%, which ensures high-quality, uniform, and consistent welds, and consequently, a smooth internal surface finish.
With ASME BPE Certification (Certification Number BPE-104), X-Steel BioClean products perfectly meet the requirements of the Pharmaceutical, Cosmetic, Biotechnology, Veterinary, Personal Hygiene, Food, Beverage, and Chemical industries.
Traceability and Certification
Bioclean pipes and fittings come with a Quality Certificate EN 10204 – 3.1 in accordance with ASME BPE standards and surface finish (Electropolishing). They are individually packaged and marked with the following information:
